The purposes of the Carolina Innovative Users Group (CIUG) are to:

• encourage the optimum use of the Innovative Interfaces, Inc. (III) system among the users in the Carolinas and the surrounding states;  foster and improve relationships and communication among CIUG members, the Innovative Users Group (IUG) and III; 
• gather and distribute information on the use of III products. 

Membership is open to any institution or individual in North Carolina or South Carolina using any module of the III automated library system. Non-voting membership is open to institutions and individuals outside the Carolinas using any module of the III automated library system.
